You're right - I was stupid that day, sorry. Indeed it's vBulletin and XenForo runs circles around it.



XenForo is freaking amazing. It's the best forum software I've ever used and it's a lot better than Discourse (not PHP) which has become popular recently.

They are both turbo hyper mega ass, as with most commercial products written in PHP. NodeBB is far and away better which has the benefit of being open source. NodeJS isn't perfect but commercial PHP products are a relic of the past that are difficult to migrate away from but worth it, if practically feasible.
