RSS feed is delayed by ~1 minute

Sometimes I catch articles in the Phoronix website only after a few seconds from the post time (sometimes they even don't have the "Add A Comment" label!). However, after quickly updating my feed reader, the new article doesn't appear immediately, unless I wait a while (around 1 minute) and try again.

Is it because the feed is (in the Phoronix side) cached, or something?

Yes there is like a 60 second cache on the RSS feed to help with load.

Why not a non-poll cache? I mean, why not auto-update the cache as soon as you post an article (can be done with something like inotify)
