    Hello Michael,

Thank you this useful tool. I tried to use the remote GUI, i've set the parameters correctly in the config file, but when i try to contact my server, i get the page, but it stuck at the first page with the message "Connecting to WebSocket Server...".

I've tried with Chrome, Firefox, in EC2 instance, and Google Compute Engine instance, same result.

    Thanks
Any firewall issues? Other system information / versions?

      Hi Michael,

No firewall issues, all ports are open, in both AWS and GCE, already tried other web applications, they're working just fine.

I put the HTTP port at 8080, and the WebSockets at 8081.

The system in AWS is a 14.04 Ubuntu, Debian 7.6 in GCE.

I have tried different configurations from a (1vCPU,600MB) configuration to a (16vCPU,108GB) configuration.

Feel free to ask me more details if needed.

      Thanks again Michael

            Hello Michael,

Any idea about what can be the issue here ?

I've tried the first modification suggested by the first poster, but it didn't fix the issue.

If this works, I'll post my result about the EC2 and GCE instances with every VM size.

            With regards

Not offhand besides trying more random ports to see if they work... It's been working fine on my end still and haven't heard of any other reports of issues, otherwise I'd just recommend using the phoronix-test-suite CLI for the time being.

                hi,

i have a same problem when i start the GUI interface :

                phoronix-test-suite start-remote-gui-server

PHP 5.4.34-0+deb7u1 Development Server started at Mon Nov 10 12:05:21 2014
                Listening on http://0.0.0.0:80
                Document root is /usr/share/phoronix-test-suite/pts-core/web-interface
                Press Ctrl-C to quit.
                WebSocket Server Active: localhost:8080
The Web Interface Is Accessible At: http://localhost:8080
                Press [ENTER] to kill server...

But in IE, Firefox, chrome, ... i just see "connecting to websocket server ..."

I have tested different port and it's the same.

                OS : debian 7.7
phoronix : Phoronix Test Suite v5.4.0m4
                No FW, no iptables
No error in the log file : /var/www/phoromatic.log

do you have any ideas ?
                exanple of user-config.xml file ?

                thanks

Have the necessary ports open? Otherwise I'd say sounds like some weird WS issue in the browser or something but wouldn't know more without debugging.
