  • Zeranoe no longer has ffmpeg builds

    Hi folks,

I'm a new user, so apologies if I'm doing something daft, but here we are. I just downloaded PTS onto a Windows 10 workstation with the intention of running some tests with ffmpeg.

    I got this far:

    Code:
    C:\Users\Z4.DESKTOP-7K9P59G\Desktop\phoronix-test-suite-master>phoronix-test-suite benchmark ffmpeg
    Starting the Phoronix Test Suite

Cygwin dependencies needed: gcc-fortran gcc-c++ openmp mpi make automake autoconf gcc-core gcc-g++ libiconv-devel

    [PROBLEM] pts/ffmpeg-2.8.0 is not installed.

Zeranoe stopped hosting ffmpeg builds recently; I can certainly get a recent build, but I'm not sure how to solve this problem. Any pointers?

In a wider sense, maybe this could be altered to look for Windows builds at https://www.gyan.dev/ffmpeg/builds/packages/

    Thanks,

    P

Will update the test profile shortly with a new URL but in the interim you can download the ffmpeg-4.0.2-win64-static.zip file from an alternate source and drop it in $HOME\.phoronix-test-suite\download-cache. Assuming the hash is the same as the original one, it will be automatically used when going to run phoronix-test-suite benchmark ffmpeg next.
