~~My only expectation from the 6.9 kernel is that they fixed the (probably AMD GPU related) system freezes that plague everything from 6.6 to 6.8. So far the RCs have been treating me well.~~
EDIT: Well, it crashed again today, after multiple weeks of working well. https://imgur.com/a/NU1H5l6

Nevermind, the same day I decide to post about this being potentially solved I get another crash. https://imgur.com/a/NU1H5l6

Having just installed Bazzite Linux using a 4K TV, and needing to try and figure out why every other reboot would stall indefinitely, I discovered the wonderful world of tiny default console fonts and my poo eyes screamed.

Can't wait to see this in use asap.

Did you submit and official bug report with all the requirements? Please put the url here when you have it. That information is required for developers to research in that bug. Thanks in advance!

That looks like a hardware problem. I have 4 AMD GPUs (7900XT, 7800XT, 6800XT, 7600XT) and there are no crashes/corruptions here, neither 6.7 nor 6.8. I just tested 6.9, it works great too. I use Plasma 6 and Wayland in FC40. No HDR though.

I remember old days when my pro gamer Radeon had a bios bug that caused the issue, they had to workaround it at driver level with some AtomBios patching or whatever weird workaround but stable. They were the IRC days before FreeNode fiasco and Sourceforge wss a nice place to get software and explore thousands of projects.

Btw, Xe driver is building fine this time. I have not tried on the Intel GPU yet. Will do hopefully tomorrow

It would be nice if phoronix did a larger filesystem benchmark with bcachefs included in the bunch, there was some significant performance optimization (or rather bug fixing related to performance, especially DIO) work in the last two releases.
