Phoronix: Solus Releases Version "3.9999" With Newer Kernel, Desktop Updates

It's not quite yet time for Solus 4 but version 3.9999 of this popular Linux distribution, which is designed for desktop workflows and based in part on optimizations from Intel's Clear Linux, is now available...

    Is this psychological versioning?

    By the way, minor mistake.

Solus 3.9999 comes in the Budgie. GNOME

Yes, with Solus 4, but you can already install KDE through the Software Center or, if you're a Patreon, grab the Plasma ISO from there.

                From the website:
"We are proud to announce the availability of Solus 3.9999, our ISO refresh of Solus 3."

Ok, this is the kind of joke I was waiting for in order to give up on this distro once and for all. Solus 3.9999, seriously? Why not 3.99999999999999999 at that point? We have been waiting for Solus 4 FOR AGES now, this sounds just like another way to fool us all. Everytime their excuses sound like "we are ABOUT to release version 4, but we're not quite there yet". Please stop it. Goodbye.
