        Mac's performance has already suffered a lot over the years. You'd think Apple would realize all this API overhead is going to make their platform look worse, but I guess such suggestions just... go right over their head.

          I think Metal converts everything into a PDF Document internally before outputting that Document via Quartz Extreme which is OpenGL.

          Oh all these layers. Does anyone remember the OSI model for networks, with applications residing in layer 7?
