I know the C language, and like it very much! What's a great pity to the world...

He was just like a pillar in the field of computers. His imagination made us proud.

    Ah man, this sucks!

In any case. AmigaOS is going to be revived in 200-400$/euro/pound PPC netbooks. Excelent articles for the interested:
Ars reviews the latest and greatest update to the little OS that could: …

The reason I'm stating the Amiga part is that the world still has hope for the good old spirit and hopefully new pioneers arrive at the spot that we can honor!

PS: Crap! I meant to say dmr istead of rms

Guys, please, this thread is dedicated for Ritchie. Let's not discuss S.J. here. De mortuis aut bene aut nihil.

Jobs did "nothing" compared to Ritchie, the legacy from Ritchie has influenced almost every piece of software, at least the major ones.

Jobs pioneered nothing. That was all Steve Wozniak in the early days of Apple. And some random designer team in the latter ones. Jobs was just a businessman. Nothing more, nothing less.

Ritchie on the other hand was a real scientist.
