Phoronix: AMD P-State v7 Driver Posted For Delivering Better Ryzen Efficiency In 2022

AMD on Christmas Eve posted their seventh iteration of the AMD P-State Linux driver as their new CPU frequency scaling solution for Zen 2+ to make use of ACPI CPPC for ultimately striving toward optimal power efficiency with a focus on mobile and desktop systems...

This amd-pstate scaling driver should help with single threaded performance as CPPC should put a process onto highest clocked core....

Edit: I ran pts/single-threaded suite on acpi_cpufreq scaling driver with performance governor and then on AMD P-State v7 with performance governor...the performance was identical for me on 5600X.
