The SD845 is so popular with smartphone SoCs that I'm afraid most OEM will consider putting it in a laptop as a waste :/ Still, the graphics stack is partially reversed and on the way towards mainline ( https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pa...-MSM-Next-4.19 ) so I'm hoping a lapdock connected to one of those phones running PostmarketOS might be possible soonish...

It still seems like a long way before this development will result as concrete buyable products that use mainline Linux. For example Android devices remain locked with old BSP kernel packs. Even if the kernel support is there, the device tree configuration won't be. How many RPi clones there are now? How many of them have support for onboard opengl, h264 video, audio, usb otg, nand storage, or video cameras?

People actively work on all of the above. Every little bit helps. It is easier to motivate people to finish remaining pieces if 95% of the device is already done.
