  • Is the MSI X370 Gaming Pro a good motherboard for Linux?

Hi, I'm new here and I have a simple question for starting.

I'm thinking to switch to from Intel (Core 2 Quad 8300) to a Ryzen 7 1700, but I'm a little scared by the motherboard.

I saw that Michael Larabel used a MSI X370 XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM for his tests, but that board is extremely expensive for me, so I'm searching a cheaper thing. https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pa...lake-may&num=1

I thought in MSI X370 Gaming Pro because is very much cheaper and it uses the same chipset, so I think that the compatibility is the same than the XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/X370...RO-CARBON.html

Well, I don't have anything more to explain because the question is simple. But if someone knows about another motherboard more recommendable because is friendlier with Linux I would be grateful. Gaming and web development (specially the second) are my "special" areas further than de common user. I want a computer at least for five years.
