    FYI, followup to my post. The 6.5 kernel does load the nct6775 kernel module without any force loading and finds the nct6799D SIO chipset just fine on my Asus X670E Hero motherboard. The kernel also loads the asus-ec-sensors driver module just fine too. Complete sensors readings from the motherboard with those drivers along with default k10temp module.

      The Corsair icue software for monitoring the PSUs is unbelievably shitty piece of crap. It's amazing how much better the Linux drivers are.
