Seems the "Linux PowerPC notebook project" finally decided on the specs and started a funding campaign for the design of the motherboard. The project goal is to provide a full Open Source Hardware laptop and produce working prototypes.

I think this is interesting, 'cause if it succeeds this will be the most powerful PPC-machine out here for the consumer market - compared to the PowerMac G5 Quad and the Amiga One X5000.
