Phoronix: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 AGN

When sending over the Intel Ivy Bridge kit back in April, Intel also included an engineering sample of a PCI Express x1 WiFi adapter that is part of their "Desktop Intel WiFi - 2012" platform. Does this Intel 802.11n WLAN adapter work as well under Linux as their open-source graphics driver?

    I did not say -w, I said -vv, thats 2x v not 1x w (double-u).
    It's very verbose.

So even though you are probably correct, I don't think there's any difference
The laptop cards come without adapter card, that's the difference. Of course you can, if you have the adapter card of the 6205, put another Mini PCIe card in it. But Bluetooth won't work, Mini PCIe slots also contains a USB link that's used for Bluetooth, a desktop PCIe slot doesn't, so using the 6230 in a desktop makes no sense. Unless there are other adapter cards available that also provide USB.

Most Atheros cards to hostAP just fine.
