I'm guessing, but just guessing, internet browsing is too much of a mouse focused activity, and I always viewed the trackpad as something you'll access here and there in a relatively unlikely need to reach for the mouse for a mostly keyboard focused activity. I mean, it doesn't add that much value IMO to keep your hands in the home row if the main activity will be scrolling through text and images.
Point being, I can understand how the trackpad underperforms and gives soreness for that case.

This keyboard was a really bad purchase for me, besides being expensive, the keys are way harder than a ThinkPad laptop keyboard, the keys texture is quite crappy.

The only positive things I see is that it doesn't have lag with the provided dongle and that is pretty compact.
