    Sounds a little like its more a faulty chip design and Linux/FOSS drivers have to work around it. Now we even need quirks for keyboards. :'-(
    Stop TCPA, stupid software patents and corrupt politicians!

      Not the only weird behavior from a Sigmamicro controller. Some Sigmamicro keyboard-touchpad combos found in laptop/convertibles expose the touchpad as a mouse and then report some touchpad gestures as if they were keyboard actions, with hardwired key combinations corresponding to keyboard shortcuts specific of Windows. Evsieve (https://github.com/KarsMulder/evsieve) can be your friend in working around the issues that come out of that.
