Madeira 3 only runs in reduced screen size mode

I have installed VMWare Workstation 10. I installed Madeira 3 inside it but I find I am unable to increase the size of the Madeira program to full screen. In fact I am unable to move the cursor outslde the Madeira 3 screen at all to use the VMWare Menu bar. Ctrl-Alt-Enter gets rid of the VMWare bar but the Madeira remains half sized. Has this problem occurred before? I find that Fedora and Ubuntu work full screen normally when selected. I figure this is a bug with Madeira 3 but being that I'm a newbie with VM's I figured I'd check here first.
