      Like DARPA internet? SELinux is fully open source code currently maintained by Red Hat. While NSA did the initial funding and they are still involved, its not like they own the project. Also NSA is a complex organization with different goals. They have two different divisons. SELinux came from the protection divison while the current controversies are about the spying division.
