    This is an interesting point. I too would like to see this distinction made.

    One problem, though -- I have no real idea what difference it really makes, whether one has two physical cores self-partitioning to act as four virtual cores, or has four actual, separate, physical cores (and I'm not sure I even got that description right, but I think that's what hyper-threading essentially does?).

    If anyone would care to recommend a good, moderately technical summary or overview, it would be appreciated.
