x550 (rv370) dvi-hdmi resolution

Hi, i'mt italian so sorry for my bad english

I'm trying to get work my x550 pci-e with my hd ready samsung lcd 32'' that have 1360x768 of resolution

i'm running ubuntu 7.10

with a vga cable and open ati driver all are ok! 1360x768 works

with an dvi-hdmi adaptor+hdmi cable and driver open i can have only 1280x768> resolution
with fglrx 8.3 i can have a lot of resolution even 1900x... ecc... but not 1360x768

i've tried also with another computer...ubuntu 7.10 ati hd2600xt driver 8.2 and 1360x768 works...

What could i do?
