  • Nautilus 3.5.4: how to make a filemanager unusable

I just got ist installed via the Quantal repository..
In my opinion they made it the worst biggest filemanager out there...

    1. They removed the option to create an empty file via rightclick -> create empty file
    2. They removed the splitpane possibility (you can only view 1 folder at once now, filecopying is a pain in the ass)
    3. They changed the way it handles searching in a folder via just starting to type... Before you simply jumped to the folder / document which begins with the letters you type (in miliseconds), now they do a full search in the whole subtree of the current folder and even inside documents.. It takes seconds till you see the first files apearing in the resultview and the fiel selected by default in the result is normaly one in a subfolder..

Really WTF? Is GNOME trying to loose the last people that use GNOME? I can?t stop smashing my head against the wall when i see such changes... Using Thunar / Midnighcommander from now on.
Working...
