I'm sort of a Linux newbie, so be kind. 
I installed the 8.40.4 drivers on my spare rig (Athlon XP2400+, 1GB RAM, Radeon 9800 Pro), and installation went flawlessly, OpenGL works, etc. But I notice dmesg gives a line "[fglrx] USWC is disabled in module parameters". (USWC is enabled in my system's BIOS.) Shouldn't write combining be enabled for best performance, and how do I enable it on fglrx? Any other performance tweaks I should add?
