    I see in the evergreen code that we need to tell the GRDBM and RLC block which "instance" and which shader engine we are programming (register multiplexing).

    Ok for the shader engines, but what is this "instance"? GRDBM and RLC are set to broacast to all instances all the time.

    Is is related to rdev->config.evergreen.sq_num_cf_insts? (Presuming that "cf" acronym means Cache Fifo)
