AIGLX with ATI proprietry's

I can not connect to net with my setup yet, so I have to download the packages myself, As I was searching, I saw that livna's kmod-fglrx-common is not anywhere on its mirros! anybody have a hint?

I can not understand, maybe I don't have enough information, but why don't ATI release its products information (just the one which are needed to build a driver) for Xorg engineers? I think the hard part to copy an electronic device is to get a technology to create the small hardware pieces, so why don't they publish just information needed to build a driver?
Anybody has a comment?

I can't say why AMD doesn't open its specification, but I am very sure that fglrx will be as good as the nvidia driver or even better in the not too far away future, so we don't have to worry about that. Just follow Michaels fglrx articles at phoronix for up2date information.

And there is no kmod-fglrx-common package.
