so .. here is the prob - after applying my twinview setup on my new monitor the dpi setting settings change from
k11stan@macstanpro ~ $ xdpyinfo | grep res
resolution: 96x96 dots per inch
to :
k11stan@macstanpro ~ $ xdpyinfo | grep res
resolution: 267x171 dots per inch
is there any way for it to stay the same ? Gtk picks that setting up later and totally messes up the fonts on any application started after i apply my twinview setup .. and if I gtk-chteme afterwards all the apps started before twinview get tiny fonts as a result of me adjusting font size .. Here is what I tried so far :
- started x with --dpi 96
-added
Option "DPI" "96 x 96"
Option "UseEdidDpi" "False"
to all sections of xorg.conf .. no cookie .. also "UseEdidDpi" "DFP-0" and "ConstantDPI" "TRUE" in various combintions ..
Any help or workaround for this appreciated ..
