As I whittled out in a nvnews thread, I'm considering a graphics upgrade. I don't have that much spare cash at the moment so rather than just chucking in a 470 (for ~?210) or 480 (~?300), I'd like to see if buying another GTX260 (~?100, or less used) and using SLI is an option.
The response from NvNews wasn't that helpful. A few anecdotal responses and then the thread slid off into "Does SLI work at all?". I really want some numbers. I want to know how many frames per second extra (or fewer) I'll get if I chuck another GTX260 in.
Can anybody here furnish me with such data?
