Hi people. Today I got a new PC at work, and installed Sabayon on it. I've had 3 hard lockups already, all with Compiz running ( but each time not much was happening graphics-wise ). When I got home I read http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...dale_gpu&num=1 which makes me think it's the GPU locking up.
I'm a bit sketchy on the details at the moment ( new system and all ), but it's got a 2.6.34-sabayon kernel, and mesa-7.8.something, and 2.10 of xf86-video-intel ( from memory ... might be wrong on this ).
The bug reports I've seen mention possible fixes going into 2.6.33. Does anyone know the status of this bug? Is it supposed to be fixed?
