      Nvidia released version 256.29 of their forceware drivers for Linux today. It appears to resolve this issue, which they claim is related to ACPI, which is power management.

        Figured it was a Powermizer issue. Micheal's graph even supports it.




        That's well below the reference 500 Mhz clock.

          that's should not be the issue then, the performance would be lower than for 500Mhz only and not lower in another driver version
