    no, I am saying that it is just not probable. Don't expect too much. Who knows, maybe 9.11 has 1.7 support? But it is a much saver bet to put your money on 9.12 then 9.11 and 10.1 then 9.12. and 10.2 is a better candidate then 10.1.10.3 is probably a better bet than 10.2. One thing for sure: whatever driver is meant for ubuntu 10.4 will probably have support for the xserver used there :P

    At the end speculating will lead to nothing.

    But your driving up expectations is harmfull.

      energyman, please note that Fedora 12 *is* using Xserver 1.7.

        catalyst 9.12 will deliver better wine support and im sure XvBA!
