The future without HAL, regarding multiseat

topic is hal - and a future without it. I support that. Hal is the biggest piece of crap that ever infested the linux landscape. Even worse than gnome 2.X.
But it does not matter what replaces hal, if its replacement does the same mistakes:
idiotic xml
no documentation
breaking compatibility every other release


Is that ontopic enough?

consolekit documentation

I daydream sometimes about kidnapping the consolekit developers and only releasing them when they have written sufficient documentation...
Like in this Stephen King movie, `Misery?, but without the foot "operation" of course.

In the real world, someone could pay them to write it. Or are they employed by RedHat or others? Then their manager should get them to write it.

The only thing I could find on consolekit was some 10% finished design document on the Freedesktop.org site.
