meanwhile I found out while that card ran so hot (up to 105?C -> 221?F !)


underneath it was a TV card mounted which mostly blocked the airflow - I removed it, set the throughput of my lower fan a little higher and voil? !

it's down to 47-51?C in idle and never seems to go over 85?C at maximum load

That's precisely because I don't use it anymore !!!
Reboot is needed. But reboot is too much windows-like for my taste !
