Bram Stolk, who developed Stormbaan Coureur is working on a new game, but needs funding before it is released.
The game is a tank simulator featuring "accurate simulation of the tracks. Each link in the track is a fully simulated rigid body. The accurate track simulation should be incorporated into gameplay". There's a longer description of the game, and a video of a tech demo available here.
The catch is that the game will only be fully developed (and released as GPLv3) if 1000 USD is pledged (hence Ransomware). Already over 700 dollars have been pledged.
From the video, it already looks pretty fun, so I guess there are much worse ways to waste a few bucks...
