      You are misinformed.

      At least one game already supports it, the most populair title on Steam. Also a bunch of AAA games are announce to support it on release day of their games.

                Isn't it the open-source drivers which are traditionally lacking performance? Not the proprietary ones.

                    Yeah, my current theory is that they want launch-day support for AMD on linux, which means the AMDGPU Catalyst drivers have to be out.

                    Which it sounds like is coming this spring. Michael was thinking it was tied to the Polaris launch, which i think people are expecting in June(ish) but maybe they could come out with at least preliminary support in March.
