I absolutely despise this mentality. Yes, our computers are getting faster all the time, but with attitudes like yours we will never see the benefit....

That's my experience as well. I've got a 6800 kit for my Ryzen 7700, but it won't run any faster than 6000, and even that was a pain to get working....
