So to use this now do I have to set amd_pstate=active on the kernel parametes on grub? What are the benefits of this vs using the default acpi_cpufreq?...

My Ryzen notebook takes around 3s to wake up, so any improvement is welcome.

/sbin is redundant too. At least in arch /bin and /sbin both point to /usr/bin...
