Activation Email formatting errors break the activation URL and "Does not work?" URL

As you can see in this picture, both activation URL's include a <br in the hyperlink. I use hotmail for email in Firefox on desktop PC.

IMHO I had the same struggle. Not sure how I fixed it, or what I used.

I was also having some issues where it took a long time to get the activation email.
