It is a bit disconcerting to find out the wireguard-linux-compat maintainers just decided to completely drop CentOS Stream 8 support because, "Nobody uses it anymore...". Completely inaccurate in my view.
So at this point, what other options are available? (for Centos Stream 8 users beside migrate to some other os or Centos Stream 9) I have several dozen servers now that will not load the wireguard module since that package is needed for lower kernels below 5.5.
It always infuriates me when maintainers make broad assumptions about who's using what and make broad decisions to completely cut support for an entire OS. Why not put out the call for help maintaining that part to users of it?
