Turning to the Local Adaptive Thresholding test with GraphicsMagick, the Core i7 920 remained on top but the Core i7 870 now pulled up right behind it in terms of performance. The Core i5 750 did better than the AMD part with the Phenom II X3 coming in last.

At the simple task of image resizing, the OpenMP-driven GraphicsMagick performed the best with the Core i7 920 again while the Phenom II X3 regained its second place position. Just behind the Phenom II X3 with its 78 iterations per minute was the Core i7 870 with 74 iterations per minute.

With our last GraphicsMagick test, image sharpening, the order was as follows: Core i7 920, Core i7 870, Phenom II X3 710, and then lastly the Core i5 750.
