With our favorite multi-threaded ray-tracer, C-Ray, the Core i7 3960X continued to do the best with its increased core count. However, the performance of the Intel Ivy Bridge quad-core desktop processor was very good.

It was the same story for the Parallel BZIP2 compression benchmark too.

The overclocked Core i7 3770K was nearly twice as fast as the Core i5 2500K Sandy Bridge and nearly three times faster than the Intel Core i3 2120 Sandy Bridge and AMD A8-3870K Llano APU.
