More wins were recorded for Ivy Bridge when running the Himeno Poisson Pressure Solver.

Due to the greater number of cores with the i7-3960X, it stole the cake for 7-Zip compression performance.

The Intel Core i7 3770K can build a default x86_64 Linux kernel in 86 seconds -- less than a minute and a half. The Core i7 3960X can achieve building the kernel in less than a minute due to its six physical cores plus Hyper Threading. The Ivy Bridge Extreme Edition processors coming later this year should be quite interesting to see how fast they can tap out a new Linux kernel build.
