Hello
I tried some tests with phoronix-test-suite-0.5.1 and the suite stores a lot of data in ~/.phoronix-test-suite/ and at least parts of it seems to be redundant.
For example regarding the audioencoding-tests there are:
.phoronix-test-suite/installed-tests/pts-shared/trondheim-wav-sample.tar.gz ~99MB
.phoronix-test-suite/installed-tests/pts-shared/trondheim-wav-sample.wav ~106MB
.phoronix-test-suite/installed-tests/encode-flac/trondheim-wav-sample.wav ~106MB
I assume two of them could be safety removed.
Additional the testsuite could remove the files that got created during the buildprocess of the tests.
Generally I would not care much about some wasted MB's, but currently everything is installed in my relative small /home Partition which is backuped by a daily rsnapshot-run. So I prefer to keep this partition small.
Ps: Yes I know I could probably just symlink the ~/.phoronix-test-suite/installed-tests/ Folder to another location, but I think others have the problem, too
