        Nowadays, is a reality that cuda is little faster, has more tools and is more easy to implement. This is why a lot of researchers who only care about analytical results, implementation time, and simulation times use cuda instead of opencl.

        Hopefully this would change in the future.

          Does vdpau work with only certain Nvidia cards? I read that only certain ones will do the hardware acceleration with blueray, for e.g. I think all the Fermi cards and GT 240. Don't quote me on that.
