Site loads a bit faster now for me. Great work.

We have Phoronix IPv6 addresses with new server, but it doesn't seem to be working for some reason, need to look into it...

WRT to HTTPS, will hopefully be having a proper HTTPS setup for Phoronix Premium subscribers.

Not working very well for me. Every so often hitting F5 alternates me between the old and new servers. Rather annoying.

Your DNS must be slow to update... should be done usually within 24 hours across the web.

I was writing a post to this forum and when I pressed "preview" (4 or 5 minutes after starting to write it) I was sent to the login form. Has the session timeout been lowered or something?

No it hasn't, but I've still been working on the server configuration this morning -- including restarting Apache several times recently -- so might have crossed one of the times I restarted Apache and cleared out session files.

You shouldn't be limiting TLS to paid subscribers.
                Everyone can benefit from that.
Are you sure that your advertisers can't run TLS too?

It's a matter of motivating premium supporters, covering costs, etc.

I can understand where you're coming from.
After having hesitated quite a while I now finally decided to get Premium, but I can't: After authenticating to PayPal (the landing page for payment looks pretty old BTW, maybe you could upgrade that as well?) I am asked to add a credit card because checking accounts are not allowed for this transaction (what's the point of PayPal if I can't pay however I want?).
I will not get a credit card just for this, and other people will probably appreciate allowing other payment methods too.
Can this be fixed with justifiable effort? The mixed content problems are driving me crazy ...

I think PayPal doesn't allow checks for subscriptions since it takes a few days to actually clear. If you PayPal the amount to me directly at [email protected] along with your username, I can manually set it up. Thanks.
