With Metro 2033 Redux on Ubuntu Linux, the GTX 960 performance at 2560 x 1600 ended up being roughly the same speed as the GTX 760 and GTX 680. With an average of over 700 FPS, the game is playable at 2560 x 1600 and certainly more so at 1920 x 1080.

As long as you're not doing 4K gaming, the GTX 960 should be playable with the Metro Redux games under Linux with the proprietary binary drivers... Certainly much better than the Radeon graphics cards with Catalyst 14.12 that can't properly handle the game with any GPU due to current driver issues.
