There is not much to look at either with the floating-point addition performance with this DDR2 system.

While each kernel usually picks up a few file-system improvements and fixes, when it comes to the EXT3 file-system its performance was largely unchanged when measuring its performance with the Intel IOMeter File Server Access Pattern via the Flexible IO Tester.
