Moving past I/O, here are more CPU-focused benchmarks.

Dolfyn with the Dolfyn fluid dynamics workload, Alpine, Ubuntu, and Debian fell behind the bare metal host while Clear Linux came out faster than the host... That's due to Clear's aggressive defaults not found in most other Linux distributions.

With the HMMer test it was surprising to see how much slower the Ubuntu, Alpine, and CentOS images were than the bare metal results.

For John The Ripper, CentOS and Clear Linux were the ones noticeably behind the rest.

But for HImeno, Clear Linux pulls back on top thanks to its default CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS compared to other distributions.
