The Fusion E-350 remained much faster than the Intel Atom 330, but the Sempron 3400+ again pulled out ahead while the Core/Phenom hardware remained several times faster.

With C-Ray, our favorite open-source multi-threaded ray-tracing test, the Atom 330 was faster than the Fusion E-350 at 1.6GHz and only when it was overclocked to 1.8GHz did the Fusion APU pull slightly ahead. The Sempron 3400+ with its single core really struggled with C-Ray.

POV-Ray is a better-known industry test than C-Ray, but POV-Ray 3.6 is single-threaded. This does lead to an interesting look at the Fusion E-350 performance. The Sempron 3400+ was slightly faster than the Fusion E-350 (the Sempron 3400+ has a stock frequency of 1.8GHz), while the Core/Phenom CPUs were only slightly ahead. The Atom 330 really struggled in this test with it being 2.5x slower than the E-350.
