The First Shot Towards GStreamer 1.0

Back in June I mentioned the plans for GStreamer 1.0 and that work is now beginning to materialize. GStreamer 0.11 has just been officially released as the first development snapshot for what will turn into the notable GStreamer 1.0 release.

GStreamer 0.11 has a lot of internal work, including a reworked buffer memory management system, support for arbitrary buffer meta-data, integrated buffer-pool management, improved dynamic pipeline handling, reworked video caps system, reworked pad probes, and many bug-fixes.
