The latest feature of the LibreOffice open-source office suite is for creating 3D bar shapes.

As a feature for LibreOffice 4.3, there's support for now creating real 3D bar shapes on charts within the open-source, cross-platform office software.

This work was done by Markus Mohrhard at Collabora and also landing a short time ago were also many other OpenGL support improvements within the LibreOffice code-base.
