Going Over DRM Render/Mode-Set Nodes

For those curious about the DRM render/mode-set nodes work that was successfully accomplished via GSoC by David Herrmann, he has written another blog post at length about his accomplishments.

The render nodes work is to be merged with the Linux 3.12 kernel for this work that breaks up the GPU rendering and mode-setting interfaces for a variety of reasons.

David Herrmann has already written at length about VT switching on Linux and his quest to kill kernel VT switching (CONFIG_VT) support, while his latest insightful blog post is again on his render/mode-set project.
